Playforth Results and this policy

Playforth, LLC ("Playforth", "we", or "us") provides Playforth Results. This policy covers Playforth apps that link to it, including Playforth Results for iOS and Android, and the separate Playforth parent and guardian signup service. The Playforth Results details below describe version 0.2.12. Other apps or new features with different data practices will have a clearly identified section or additional notice before those practices apply. Information used by the mobile app

You can use Playforth Results without creating an account or providing your name, email address, or password. Followed teams, your selected primary team, notification preferences, refresh interval, saved scores, and local alert history are stored on your device to personalize the app and provide offline access.

If you enable phone notifications, the app requests your device permission. For background alerts, it sends an Expo push token and your notification settings, including selected team identifiers, alert types, and refresh interval, to our notification service. The service stores these details with a registration identifier, last settings-update time, and notification delivery records so it can send the updates you requested and prevent duplicate alerts.

When the app downloads scores or contacts our services, the servers and hosting providers receive technical connection information such as your IP address, request time, and requested resource. This information supports service delivery, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. The notification service uses connection addresses to limit repeated registration attempts.

Report a Bug opens your email app with the description you entered, app version, device operating system and version, and current app screen. If you send that email, we receive your email address and the message or attachments you choose to include, and use them to respond and troubleshoot.

Calendar, directions, and external links

Add to Calendar passes the selected game's details to your device calendar or Google Calendar for you to review and save. The app does not upload your existing calendar entries to Playforth. Directions passes the selected venue to the map app you choose; Playforth Results does not request or collect your precise GPS location. Your map app may use location under its own permissions and policy.

Sharing a match or venue sends those details to the app or recipient you select. Copy location writes the venue to your clipboard. Club websites, calendar services, map providers, and other linked services handle information under their own privacy policies.

Mobile app service providers and data sharing

We use hosting and delivery providers to operate the app's services, including Render for the notification service and Expo for push notifications. Notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android or Apple Push Notification service on iOS. These providers process the device routing identifiers, notification content, and technical data needed to deliver alerts. Hosting providers also process connection data needed to serve scores and requests.

The current mobile app does not include an advertising SDK or require payment information. We do not sell mobile app personal data or use notification team preferences for targeted advertising. Enabling app notifications does not sign you up for marketing emails. If you contact support, our email provider processes your message. App stores and device platforms may separately process download, diagnostic, and testing information under their own settings and privacy policies.

Security and retention

The mobile app uses HTTPS for its score and notification service connections. Notification preference updates require a device-specific registration credential; the service stores a hash of that credential. Access to service data is limited to operating and supporting the service. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Local preferences and cached information remain on your device until removed through app controls, device storage settings, or removal of the app and its data. Device backup and restore settings may preserve copies. The notification service is configured to remove registrations whose preferences have not been synchronized for more than 90 days during its regular cleanup. Turning notifications off pauses alerts but does not immediately delete the server registration.

Support correspondence and separate parent signup records are kept as needed to respond to requests, provide the selected service, and maintain consent, unsubscribe, security, or legally required records. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for those purposes; provider logs and backup copies may remain until their retention cycles expire.

Your mobile app choices and deletion requests

Use My Teams to change followed teams and notification choices. You can disable notifications in the app or your phone settings. To remove locally stored data, use your device's app-data controls or delete the app and its data. Uninstalling does not immediately remove notification records from our server.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information held by Playforth, email info@playforthmedia.com and identify Playforth Results and your request. We may ask for the minimum information needed to locate the record and verify the request. Notification registrations are not linked to an email account, so an email address alone may not identify your device record. Do not send passwords or registration credentials. We will explain any information we must retain and why.

Children and the mobile app

Following a youth sports team does not require entering a child's name, date of birth, or contact details. The mobile app processes device and notification information as described above. Please avoid including children's personal information in support messages. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, contact us at the email address above.

Parent and guardian signups: what we collect

When a parent or guardian joins Playforth, we collect the information they provide, including their name, email address, selected event, selected sports, optional ZIP code, consent choice, and signup date.

How we use parent signup information

We use this information to send youth sports gallery links, Playforth updates, and occasional sponsor-supported resources for athlete families. We may use sports and ZIP code selections to make messages more relevant.

How we protect and share parent signup information

Playforth does not sell contact information or give parent and guardian contact lists to sponsors. Trusted service providers may process limited information only as needed to operate our services, store records, deliver email, or provide galleries.

Parent signup choices

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You may also ask us to correct or delete your information by emailing info@playforthmedia.com.

Children and the parent signup form

The signup form is intended for parents and guardians. Playforth does not knowingly use this form to collect personal contact information directly from children.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as Playforth grows. The effective date above will show when the latest version took effect. When we add another app, accounts, subscriptions, or other features that change how personal information is handled, we will update the relevant disclosures and obtain permission where required.
